Professional memoir and eBook publishing
Axiom Books are a memoir and eBook publishing company founded by Neil Forsyth in Saffron Walden in 2022. Following the recovery of poems and memoirs written by Neil’s father, Joseph Forsyth, in the 1970s and 1980s, Neil’s search for someone who could turn these beloved handwritten manuscripts into an illustrated book and eBook led him to meet editor Rebecca Raimondo and illustrator Sally Rendel. Neil’s vision, together with Rebecca’s editing skills and Sally’s artistic expertise, resulted in Growing up with Grandpa, published and printed in November 2022.

We are solely dedicated to our clients and will work closely with you to ensure you have plenty of input throughout the process. Our submission process is friendly and efficient as we understand that working independently can be time consuming and demanding. From copyright and ISBN registration, through the design and illustration process to final budgeting, proofing and printing, we take the complexity out of self-publishing.
We offer a bespoke service from start to finish, including editing, typesetting, illustrating, proofreading, design and print. Axiom Books will also create high quality e-publishing files for digital distribution to accompany a traditional hardback or paperback edition. Layout is mastered to allow all devices, from desktops to mobile phones and tablets, to faithfully reproduce your book.
The Team
Neil Forsyth, Director
Neil ponders on all things digital and communicative. He was born into the 1960s and has a complex past experience in film, 35mm editing and the transition into digital cinema. In the 1980s Neil started Electra Film and TV, one of the highest regarded camera companies in London today. Neil is a detail freak and knows about everything that appears or moves on the screen. He maintains our high technical standards whether printing a hardback or a new digital edition from existing formats.
Rebecca Raimondo, Project Manager and Editor
Rebecca has a degree in English Literature and History of Art from the University of London and she trained in proofreading and copy-editing with the Publishing Training Centre. Rebecca oversees all things editorial and operational, keeping a close eye on the words, the grammar and the schedule with the highest attention to detail.
Sally Rendel, Illustrator and Typesetter
An artist always opening a new brief from the client or an idea Sally is developing. The most patient and focused artist. Her career as an architect and the projects Sally has produced gives us an illustrator with an eye on the big picture.
Graphic Designer
Our resident graphic designer keeps a close eye on all material leaving Axiom Books, whether a new print run or a layout for an
e-publishing project. Our designer has vast experience within marketing and advertising agencies and is a highly creative member of our team.
